Bushwalking

As well as the many beautiful beaches and coastal scenery offered on the central coast, there’s also many great bushwalking locations here. The Central Coast could almost be known as the bushland city.

The bush surrounds the suburbs on all sides and in spring its filled with wildflowers. For those lucky enough to live here or visit, the many small creeks, cascades, and rocky platforms with panoramic views make the Central Coast bush a magic place to spend a sunny afternoon.

Some great local bushwalks include:

  • Macmasters Beach to Putty Beach along the coast
  • Box Head and Tallow Beach
  • Point Clare (or Kariong) to Woy Woy via the ridge-top fire trails
  • Wondabyne trig
  • Pindar cave
  • Woy Woy to the Hawkesbury River (Rocky Ponds trail)
